What do we cover?

In this 6 weeks course of 30 minutes each week, we introduce your dog to sitting or lying calmly around the distractions of a typical coffee shop. Starting with chilling out on a bed/mat to ignoring passing people, dropped food, and loud noises we look to cover the fundamentals of any everyday trip to a public space. We also add in work around walking nicely to your spot in the coffee shop and leaving without causing a scene.

Who is this course for?

This group course is designed for dogs of any age and ability level, however it is preferable that you have completed some foundation obedience course first. It is not suitable for dogs who cannot engage when out in public or get excessively excited when seeing dogs, people or food.

Preparing for your course

There are a few things to bring with you to your course.

  • Training treats

  • Fixed length leash
  • A non-squeaky toy your dog likes
  • Water & a bowl to drink from
  • Towels for drying off
  • Mat or blanket for your dog to sit on

Please note that we do not permit any tools in class that are aversive in nature, this includes: choke chains; slip leads; martingales; electric collars; no-pull harnesses (harnesses that get tighter when pulled); prong collars; or retractable leashes.
