Jenny Treanor
Head Trainer
Having worked professionally with dogs for over a decade, Jenny has a very broad range of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes, whether they are just starting out on their training journeys, have stumbled into some issues along the way, or have had a bad start.

Accreditation
Unfortunately there is no regulation in Ireland to determine who has the relevant skills, know how and education to call themselves a dog trainer or behaviourist. To ensure best practices at all times, we must, therefore, turn to external accreditation bodies that test proficiency not just in knowledge but practical ability.
The two leading such accreditation bodies in Ireland are the Association for Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Institute for Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT). All of our trainers will be accredited by either one these bodies or a suitable alternative.
These organisations not only check initial skills, but also insist on continuing learning and development to maintain your credentials.
Following extensive study, research and case studies, Jenny is an IMDTB accredited behaviourist. This allows her to work on complex cases and liaise with a team of canine professionals to best solve problems.
Having successfully completed her Dynamic Dog Practitioner accreditation, Jenny is now a full member of the Association of Dynamic Dog Practitioners, a group dedicated to continual professional development and raising awareness of the links between pain and behaviour.
Pain and behaviour are intertwined in up to 80% of behaviour cases (D.S Mills 2020). Becoming a Dynamic Dog Practitioner allows Jenny to assess gait and posture and combine it with behaviour information to highlight pain or discomfort and best liaise with veterinary teams and other canine professionals to resolve complex behaviour cases.
Jenny is a full member of IMDT (Distinction category) and is continually attending courses and seminars to keep her skills up to date. This includes both dog training and behaviour modification work.
Jenny is also a full Professional member of APDT Ireland. As with IMDT, yearly CPD work is required to maintain accreditation and appropriate skills level.
Jenny is a fully listed trainer of ScentworkUK's Levels 1 - 8 competition scentwork.
