Sniffy Games Workshops
Some dogs get too excited when they catch a smell, others don't know what to do once they find one, and others again forget you exist once they pick up that smell. Using games and fun activities help you integrate sniffing into your daily routine and build the teamwork between you to help your training game.
What do we cover?
These workshops build up a number of scentwork, sniffing, and tracking games to be used as part of your dog's day to day play and training with you at home. It also helps you to see whether your dog has a real interest in Scentwork before joining one of the Scentwork courses, be it our Scentwork Foundations or Sniffy Dog Manners groups.
This is a one-session long fun activity for your dog that can be done regularly as a social activity to build your handler-dog team dynamic.
We always follow scientifically verified, aversion free training and behaviour techniques. There are no harsh methods or tools throughout. At all times we follow the code of ethics of both the APDT and IMDT.
Your notes for each session will be sent to you via email after the class.
Who is this course for?
This group course is designed for dogs of any age and any ability level.
This course is not suitable for dogs who are overly excitable on leash, who do not engage at all with people when out and about, who are reactive towards dogs or people, or who are excessively fearful. We have other suitable courses, training, or behaviour work for these cases.
