Courses - Spring 2026

We are delighted to hit the ground running for the new training year. We have a busy schedule lined up covering all the usual puppy offerings, new courses for teens, adults and generally excitable dogs and build up our Sniffers team through our Scentwork courses and workshops.

If you are unsure of whether a course might suit you or your dog please get in touch and we will be delighted to help.

Puppy Primer

Get your new puppy off to the best start with our Puppy Primer group. We introduced learning to learn, communication, handling skills and socialisation. Part our work is directed off leash play between the puppies.

Polite Puppy Foundations

Our Foundations group introduces polite leash walking, recall, and self control. We work on polite on-leash greetings, how to ask for what they want politely, and how to chill out in distracting spaces. Working as a team is key.

Puppy Playdates

Learning to play nicely with other puppies is a huge confidence booster. Puppies learning to listen to each other, how to communicate their play style, to look for your help and chill out makes for a happy puppy.

Scentwork
Foundations

Build your dog-handler team skills learning to search for defined odour and point it out safely

Sniffers

Club group introducing new search environments, new search articles, and applying your skills to everyday life

Sniffy Games Workshops

Not sure if your dog is into sniffy work or want to get your feet wet trying out a new skill together.

Sniffy Dog Manners

Build your social group of like minded people and get out to do something fun with your dog.

Leash Walking

For our adult and teen sessions we focus on one main topic at a time and its supporting behaviours. Polite walking on leash ensures a healthy and happy relationship with your dog.

Calm Canine

Some dogs find the world just too exciting, particularly when they see other dogs. They are not angry or fearful but end up jumping, pulling and barking to get over to say hello. This requires a consultation first.

Teen Manners

Teen dogs can get very over excited and very frustrated easily as the smallest things. It is easy to butt heads and get frustrated yourself. This course helps get th communication back and get you working together.

Behaviour Work

Behaviour issues such as barking, lunging, bites, excessive fear and frustration to name a few can put a strain on your relationship with your dog and make their world much smaller. It is vital to get to the reasons for the issues rather than just look at the symptoms to make real and lasting progress.

One to one Training

Sometimes it is easier for you and your dog to work one to one rather than in a group without any particular behaviour issues to be dealt with. This work can include recall, leash walking, general calm down around visitors and preparing for a new baby to mention a few.

Recall work

Recall is a very important safety behaviour. It is also a skill that opens up the world to your dog. If they have a solid recall they can have more off leash time in more spaces. Working on recall is a life skill that we never stop working on but we build the foundations here.

Park walking group

Our park walking group is a social group for dogs and pups who are not showing any dog or people reactivity. Going for a group walk with like-minded people and dogs is a great way to reduce the novelty of other dogs for your dog and build their social skills.

Calm Down Coffee Shop

There is nothing quite like going for a coffee with your dog chilling at your feet, getting to be social together is really special. Get ready to enjoy the good weather and the increasing number of dog-friendly coffee shops.
